Almost all of us have suffered in an online game because of characters who spoil the fun with their cheats. But luckily for many, Epic Games’ Easy Anti-Cheat comes to Linux and Mac.
Epic Online Services exists to connect developers and players on all platforms, including the next Steam Deckhence earlier this year, Easy Anti-Cheat for games that run under Windows was made available to all developers, completely free of charge.
Epic today expands support to Linux and Mac for developers who maintain full native builds of their games for these platforms. Also to make it easier for developers to ship their games across PC platforms, support is included for Wine and Proton compatibility in Linux.
Starting with the latest version of the SDK, developers can activate anti-cheat support for Linux via Wine or Proton with just a few clicks on the Epic Online Services Developer Portal. Easy Anti-Cheat is available for free through Epic Online Services on all PC platforms, helping all developers to maintain a fair and safe gaming experience for players on the operating system of their choice.
