FB3 transport drones can fly with 100 kg payloads and have just proven their worth

Drones are one of those modern technological works that are limited by law. The authorities of virtually every country view their use on a massive scale with doubt, but companies, regardless of the problematic issues of legalization, continue to develop them with the sweat of their brow. An example of this is the FB3 transport drones that have recently been tested in practice.

FB3 transport drones have been tested in real conditions

Italian company FlyingBasket organized the first flight of two FB3 drones with a heavy load in cooperation with Leonardo and the Italian Postal Service after obtaining approval from the Italian aviation authority ENAC. These drones were tasked with transporting a payload of 26 kilograms from the postal coordination center to a destination approximately 3.9 km away. They managed to do it and then returned safely to their original place.

On its own, the 26kg flight is impressive, but not like the general capabilities of the FB3, which include a flight with 100kg shipments. However, drones are still not believed, so for safety reasons, their flight took place mainly over the Stura di Lanzo river. One of them flew with the load in the inner chamber, and the other under him, hung on the hook, which allows the shipment to be lowered without the need to land.
