From Sapphire a dual GPU card specifically for mining

The video card market continues to be characterized by one demand from enthusiasts higher than the offer of producers: from this derive prices higher than those of the list, with very important variations that have been going on for some time. To this we must also add the demand from miners, looking for the latest generation video cards for cryptocurrency mining.

It is with this in mind that Sapphire has developed a dual GPU video card specially dedicated to mining: it is a proposal with two AMD Radeon RX570 chips from the Polaris family, GPUs that were presented on the market a long time ago but are still able to ensure good overall efficiency in cryptocurrency mining.

Two Polaris chips, each with 2048 stream processors, combined with 8GB of video memory each with operating frequencies optimized precisely for the needs of mining and the search for the best possible balance between processing power and reduced consumption.

The card in fact it would only consume 125 Watts at full load, despite being equipped with two 8-pin power connectors; with this configuration it would allow to obtain a value of 60 MH / s with Ethereum, balancing a GPU temperature within 65 degrees centigrade.

A card of this type, if it became popular among miners thanks to a competitive price, it could make the latter as happy as video game enthusiasts: it would be a nice way to reuse GPUs that are no longer interesting in terms of gaming, given the evolution of the market, leaving the hope that the production of the latest generation GPUs is as far as possible destined and reserved for gamers only.
