German helmets for Ukraine. The aid will cover the delivery of 5,000 older helmets

International “aid to Ukraine” in the face of the growing threat from Russia is in full swing. Germany added to it when the Minister of State Defense announced that it would supply 5,000 German helmets to Ukraine.

Ukraine cannot count on anything more from this country, because from the very beginning, the authorities in Berlin emphasized that despite the fact that in the past they had supplied lethal weapons even to countries outside NATO, they had no intention of providing them to Ukraine. All because of the reluctance to “deliver lethal weapons to the war zone”, which even goes beyond this framework and makes it difficult to supply Ukraine with other entities.

Thus, Ukraine received 5,000 composite helmets from the Germans, which will certainly prove useful, although they are not the newest. In fact, these Kevlar helmets are of the old type that has been used in the German army since the 1990s.
