God of War officially announced for PC with Nvidia DLSS and Reflex

God of War en PC

After the leak, it has been the PlayStation itself that has confirmed that God of War will come to PC. Specifically, we are talking about its remake released in 2018, and this game will arrive on Steam and the Epic Games Store next January 14. The best of all comes doubly for Nvidia users, as it will arrive with the Deep Learning Super Sampling y Reflex for the complete gaming experience.

We are thrilled to announce that God of War (2018) is coming to PC on January 14, 2022! All of us at Santa Monica Studio are humbled by the immense amount of support and passion that fans of the God of War series have shown for the latest chapter in Kratos’ story since its launch. As of August 2021, 19.5 million copies of God of War had been sold on PlayStation 4 and we can’t wait to share that experience with a new group of gamers on PC.

Our primary goal in bringing God of War to PC was to highlight the exceptional content the team created and to take advantage of the powerful hardware the platform offers to create a unique, impressive and high-performance version of the game.

You’ll be able to enjoy the full potential of our seamless cinematic camera as you follow Kratos and Atreus through the realms with the option of True 4K resolution, on supported devices, and with unlocked framerates.

Our PC version includes a wide range of graphic presets and options so you can adjust your viewing experience based on your settings. From higher resolution shadows and improved reflections in screen space to improvements in the ambient occlusion process with GTAO and SSDO, God of War on PC can create a stunning and unique visual quality for the platform.

We are also pleased to announce that we will have full integration with Nvidia Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) available on RTX. You won’t have to sacrifice high graphics settings and output resolutions for high performance in God of War.

In addition to DLSS we will also have low latency technology available Nvidia Reflex. Reflex offers a more responsive experience that allows you to react faster and hit harder combos.

In addition to performance and graphics enhancements, we also offer 21: 9 ultrawide display support.

From the most intense battles to the quietest moments when you can enjoy the beauty of the nine Nordic kingdoms, our widescreen support will make every moment a true theatrical experience.

Our plans for God of War on PC include strong controller support and keyboard mapping customization.

For those who prefer a controller, we will support DualShock 4 and DualSense wireless controllers, as well as a wide range of other gamepads.

Players using the keyboard and mouse will be able to fully customize the bindings to create the control settings that best suit their needs.

Finally, the purchase of God of War on PC will also include the following digital content

  • Death Vow armor sets for Kratos and Atreus
  • Exile Guardian Shield
  • Escudo Buckler of the Forge
  • Shining Elf Soul Shield Skin
  • Dökkenshieldr’s Shield Skin

That’s all we have for now. We’ll have more details to share in the coming months as we get closer to launch on January 14, 2022.

We appreciate your continued support for God of War and hope that this version of the game creates a unique cinematic experience for God of War fans, both returning and new.
