Google Chrome will soon allow you to take and edit screenshots

Recently, the Google Chrome browser has gained several new functionalities, such as a new widget on Android or easier access to passwords on a mobile device. Along with version 94, there is also the possibility of taking screenshots (although not on a computer), which Google intends to further improve.

The tool for taking and editing screenshots in Google Chrome is being tested

Two new flags have been spotted in Chrome 98 Canary for screenshots and their editing. After enabling them, a new icon appears in the “Share” section, and the “Screenshot” option in the context menu. Thanks to this, you can select any part of the screen, take a screenshot of it or edit it as we need it.

It will significantly facilitate and speed up the work, although it is not yet known when the functionality will be delivered to the stable version. In the Canary channel, you can see that the tests are at a very early stage, because the option causes many problems – it crashes the browser. So we have to be patient and wait for the update.
