GTX 1660 and GTX 1660 Ti are to be the next Nvidia cards

Although Nvidia has been messing with our minds for many weeks with its new approach to the dedicated GPU market after the premiere of the Turing architecture, more and more information indicates that the GeForce GTX family will be enriched by the GTX 1660 and GTX 1660 Ti in the next month.

Both of these models, which are to replace the GeForce GTX 1060, are to be based on the Turing architecture (TU116 core), but without cores like Tensor and RT, focusing only on the “raw” power of CUDA. This, in turn, will translate into a lower price below $ 350, which we will have to pay for the RTX 2060. What is most interesting, however, one of them, namely the GTX 1660 Ti, was tested in the Ashes of the Singularity benchmark:

This leak indicates not only the very existence of the GTX 1660 Ti, but also the higher performance, which has improved by about 20% compared to the GTX 1060. This puts the new model on the GTX 1070 level, but of course we hope at a much lower price. In other words, the GTX 1660 Ti will be what the RTX 2060 was meant to be – a solid mid-segment position at the lowest possible price. The market debut of both models is expected in February this year. However, I am not 100% sure about this.
