BlackBerry has officially announced the end of support for its classic phone models.
BlackBerry phones will lose support for the system in a few days. This means that device owners will not be able to use them, because services such as phone calls, SMS, network access or even calls to emergency numbers will be unavailable. There may even be problems with Wi-Fi access. This applies to models that even run on the “latest” BlackBerry OS 10.
However, it is worth remembering that this does not apply to smartphones that run under the Android operating system. The rest of the devices will become useless after January 4. It is a bit surprising to block these basic services, not directly related to BlackBerry, such as phone calls or sending messages. Well, that’s the company’s decision after all. So if you are still using the classic phone from the manufacturer – we advise you to backup your data quickly.
