Intel announces Arc Pro, the range of video cards for mobile workstations

In conjunction with the SIGGRAPH, an event that is taking place this week, Intel unveiled its new range of video cards for the professional market. Let’s talk about the product family Intel Arc Prowhich currently includes 3 models.

Intel Arc Pro A30M is a GPU intended for mobile workstations, while the models Intel Arc Pro A40 e Intel Arc Pro A50 they are designed for desktop workstations in compact form factor, characterized respectively by a footprint of 1 and 2 slots on the motherboard.

The board Arc Pro A50 it is equipped with 8 Xe-Corss internally, 128 Execution Units, 1,024 ALUs and operates at a clock frequency of 2GHz. It is paired with 6GB of video memory with 96bit bus, capable of a bandwidth of 192GB / s and boasts a TDP of 75 Watts.

Arc Pro A40 it boasts the same technical specifications on paper but is characterized by a lower TDP, equal to 50 Watts: in this way it is combined with a more compact cooling system with only 1 overall footprint slot. For mobile declination Arc Pro A30M we find the same configuration as regards the number of cores, with a quantity of video memory that drops to 4GB combined with a 64bit bus with a bandwidth of 128GB / s.

The two desktop cards are equipped with 4 mini-DP connectors 1.4 for connection with external displays and use PCI Express 4.0 x8 type interface. Intel declares a peak processing power of 3.5 TFlops in single precision for Arc Pro M30 and Arc Pro A40, a value that rises up to 4,8 TFlops per Arc Pro A50.

The market availability of these solutions will occur at the end of the year, with sales by Intel’s main OEM partners in the field of desktop and mobile proposals. It is about solutions for the entry level segment of the mobile workstation marketwhich favor compact dimensions and low consumption: it should be noted that for the two desktop versions the presence of an external power connector is not required but what is provided by the PCI Express slot of the motherboard is sufficient.
