Intel Arc A310: An entry-level video card in the desktop GPU lineup?

Intel’s lineup of desktop video cards coming this quarter could also include an ultra-low-end model, in addition to those rumored in recent days. According to the Chinese leaker Enthusiastic Citizen, Intel would intend to submit Arc A310a solution with similar performance to the Radeon RX 6400 just released by AMD.

The leaker, whose track record makes him a pretty reliable source, posted on Bilibili some specs of the alleged board from Intel. He did not provide particular details on the model, if not the amount of GDDR6 memory, equal to 4 GB. The post only specifies that he will represent the spiritual heir of Iris Xe, the desktop solution introduced last year and confined to the OEM world.

However, it is unclear how many active processing units there could be 96 as for the A350 model which, unlike this, would present 6 GB of memory, or even 64 and therefore exactly half of what the ACM-G11 chip counts in its full form.

Further details are also mentioned in the post regarding the performance level of the entire desktop range. According to the leaker, the Arc A750 should perform similar to the GeForce RTX 3060 (not Ti), while the A580 it would be aimed at the low end of the market with performance between the aforementioned RTX 3060 and the Radeon RX 6600 (not XT). There Arc A380finally, it would represent a cross between the RTX 3050 and the RX 6400.

Intel has scheduled the launch of the new desktop GPUs in the second quarter and indicated the arrival of an unspecified Limited Edition in the early summer. There are, however, rumors about a possible postponement to the next quarter. Unfortunately, an eventuality to be taken into consideration given that the launch of the mobile variants, although formally taking place within the first quarter, was limited to South Korea only.
