After the rumors on the eve of the embargo dates related to unboxing and reviews, Intel waited a few hours – the Intel InnovatiON event – to announce date and price of arrival on the US market of theArc A770its top of the range: it will be available from October 12 starting at $ 329 (tax free) “in a variety of designs” to deliver “irresistible performance in 1440p gaming and content creation”.
Arc A770 based on a 6 nanometer ACM-G10 GPU with 32 Xe-coresintegra 32 unit ray tracing, 512 XMX Engine e 8/16 GB of GDDR6 memory at 17.5 Gbps on a 256-bit bus. The TBP indicated by Intel is equal to 225W (more technical details here).
The $ 329 MSRP is expected to cover 8GB models, but there will also be a Limited Edition made by Intel itself with 16GB of memory to debut the same day. At the moment we do not know if the company will place it on a higher price list or will offer some promotional discount. At $ 329 the Arc A770 it ranks on the same level as NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3060 12 GBeven if the comparisons must then be made on the real price lists that we will see in the stores.
As for performance, limiting itself to tests with modern API-based titles such as DX12 and Vulkan where Intel has no driver problems, the Arc A770 is apparently able to offer superior performance to the GeForce RTX 3060. The same goes for the younger sister A750 which, however, it is not clear when it will hit the market and at what price.
On Twitter, marketing director Ryan Shrout anticipated the arrival of a new content dedicated to Arc A750 in the next few days of the week: perhaps on that occasion all the missing details of the case will be communicated.
