Intel Arc Alchemist on notebooks: are these the specifications of the 5 upcoming models?

Intel announced at CES 2022 the arrival of the GPU dedicate Arc In the first quarter of this year, especially mobile ones destined to find space on laptops based on 12th generation Core processors. The company did not enter into the merits of the technical specifications, but a slide leaked in the past few hours it would seem to anticipate them in good part.

Intel would be ready to offer five configurations different on notebooks. The top of the range offering (SKU1) should be based on one GPU con 512 Execution Unit accompanied by 8 GDDR6 memory modules for a total of 16 GB a 16 Gbps. Consequently, thanks to the bus a 256 bit, the model should guarantee a bandwidth of 512 GB/s.

The second solution (SKU2) should be based on the same GPU as the top-of-the-range model, but neutered with the move from 512 to 384 I. For this solution Intel would have expected 12 GB of GDDR6 memory on 192-bit bus, for a bandwidth of 384 GB / s using the 16 Gbps memory.

The third solution, internally named SKU3, he would foresee 256 EU, 8 GB of GDDR6 memory and a memory bus a 128 bit. Again the memory would be set at 16 Gbps for a bandwidth of 256 GB / s. This solution seems to be the exact half of the top of the range.

Finally, here it is SKU4 and SKU5, respectively based on a GPU with 128 e 96 Execution Unit active. For both it would seem that an endowment of 4 GB of GDDR6 memory on 64-bit bus, with the memory set at 14 Gbps for a maximum bandwidth of 112 GB / s.

Absent from Intel’s plans, at least on notebooks, a variant with 448 Execution Unit. Could it arrive on desktop? Maybe, we’ll see. In the meantime, we remind you that a last leaked test on the GPU with 512 EU on the desktop platform seems to paint its performance similar to the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti.
