Intel Core i9-12900K surpasses 2000 points in Cinebench R23 Single-Core

A few days ago we saw the multi-core performance of the Intel Core i9-12900K, surpassing 30,000 points in Cinebench R23, and now there are more tests of the processor in this benchmark, although in its single-core test, showing us the incredible performance per core that will have this 12th. Generation of Intel Core “Alder Lake-S” processors.

As seen in this screenshot, the i9-12900K exceeds 2050 points in the Cinebench R23 single-core test, when the i9-11900K is around 1700 points and the Ryzen 9 5950X is around 1680 points. The difference with both is approximately 20%, showing a huge increase in single-core performance compared to the processors we currently have on the market.

This performance increase is even more noticeable when compared to previous generation processors such as the i9-10900K that scores about 1,420 points, the i9-9900K that scores 1,300 points, or the i7-8700K that scores 1,220 points, as those who have a processor of one of these generations will see incredible increases in single-core performance, which go over 50% in the case of the 9th. generation and earlier.

It seems that Intel has finally listened to its users, and will finally release a platform worth upgrading to if you don’t use core-intensive applications but require strong single-core performance. It will be interesting to see the performance in games of this platform, since possibly this great single-core performance allows to obtain much more FPS in games limited by CPU, and thus achieve a better gaming experience. Unfortunately for this we will have to wait until November when these processors arrive on the market and their reviews can also be published, although we will keep you updated as soon as there is news.

What do you think about the impressive single-core performance of the i9-12900K? Do you plan to upgrade to this new generation?
