FanlessTech was responsible for the disclosure of the new NUC series. We are talking about five sets from the series codenamed Bean Canyon intended for the consumer market. The high-performance segment was filled with Hades Canyon minicomputers with Kaby Lake-G systems. Their performance, of course, exceeds Intel’s latest work in the form of an APU based on the Coffee Lake series in combination with the Iris Plus Graphics 655 graphics chip working with 128 MB of integrated eDRAM memory. It has a clock speed of 1 to 1.2 GHz and 48 execution units.
This iGPU will be on board with three central processors – i7-8559U, i5-8259U and i3-8109U. The second and third chips will hold their place in two different NUC variants, the differences of which are mainly based on data stores. It is worth recalling that these processors with integrated graphics chips were presented by Intel in April. In turn, we should expect official presentations of Bean Canyon minicomputers in the coming weeks.
