Intel remembers buying through official channels after the increase in fake CPUs in the market

With the new fashions of buying cheaper products from Asia, Intel reminded users to purchase products through official channels to ensure the product is original, Since lately there are more and more sales of fake CPUs, generally delivering much older processors with a sticker on the IHS, which are not even compatible with the indicated socket.

This clarification was given after several users wanted to pass these CPUs through the Intel RMA, As if it was Intel's fault that they bought a cheap CPU on an unofficial channel. The blues indicated that these processors were intentionally altered, and therefore did not apply to their replacement policy, and also recalled that we must buy the products from authorized sellers in order to process the warranty and obviously ensure an original product.

Unfortunately there are plenty of such cases, and there are more and more fake products, ranging from alleged GTX 1080 Ti to alleged GT 1030, and now also a full range of processors from both Intel and AMD.

Shop at authorized locations, and preferably within your country to avoid these problems.

Do you know of any cases of someone buying fake CPUs or fake GPUs?
