New Riverbed research significantly changes our perspective on hardware compatibility with Windows 11. As with the debut of this new system, a report from third-party Lansweeper found that most of the 30 million devices tested were not Windows 11 ready, so now it is certain that the situation looks much better, though not particularly perfect.
In a report called “The State of the Digital Experience Report Q1 2022”, more than 2 million enterprise devices were analyzed to assess their Windows 11 readiness. Results? Ideally, it is definitely not, because about 12.23% of them require complete replacement due to the lack of even basics in terms of compatibility. In turn, 22.29%, i.e. almost every 4th computer, could easily reach Windows 11.

The report also highlights the biggest compatibility issues. Interestingly, almost one in five computers surveyed does not have the minimum required storage of 64 GB. Another ~ 20% of systems do not meet the TPM requirements, and half of them are based on older processors (Ryzen 1000 or Intel 6/7 generation) due to the complete inability to unlock TPM.
