Russian gun manufacturer Kalashnikov is best known for his AK-47 rifle. Now it can become famous for something else – a fleet of electric cars or motorcycles.
His car, the CV-1, is not a modern-looking design – it is styled after a Trabant. It is used to test the electric drive that was developed by the company. The CV-1 has a range of 350 kilometers and goes from 0 to 100 km / h in 6 seconds. The company also showed a hybrid buggy and an electric motorcycle. The former can reach speeds of up to 100 km / h and has separate motors to drive the front and rear wheels.
Kalashnikov could become a competitor to Tesla and that is their goal for sure. On the other hand, the company should be concerned about regulations from the United States. We will see what Kalashnikov will show in the future, but entering the electric car market seems very interesting. Do you think the company has a chance to spoil Tesla’s health?
