leaked 17 models for Intel and AMD

The motherboard manufacturer, GIGABYTE, has been during the past month of January, registering new motherboards for the mid-range AMD Ryzen, which would mount the new AMD B550 chipset. This new chipset would be the full version that AMD has developed for enthusiasts, being in all probability the first mid-range chipset that would support the PCIe 4.0 bus for its components.

As we know, AMD has two versions of the B550 chipset:

  • a simplified version, called B550A, which only supports PCIe 3.0 and that is what the manufacturer is currently selling to OEM assemblers.
  • another version, this time complete, called B550, It is assumed that it will support the new PCIe 4.0 data bus, and that it will go to DIY enthusiasts and users.

It is this latest version that most users are waiting to use with the AMD Ryzen 3000 processors, given that the price of current motherboards with the AMD X570 chipset is really prohibitive for the vast majority of PC users.

Up to 12 new models with the AMD B550 chipset have registered GIGABYTE with the ECC

While the official launch of this chipset by AMD, GIGABYTE has been registering several models of motherboards that are supposed to use this chipset. Up to 12 of these new motherboards are those that the manufacturer has registered with the ECC (Eurasian Commerce Cometee), which is the regulatory body in which manufacturers must register products before they can be sold in the Eurasian market.

The Models Registered are:

  • B550 AORUS MASTER
  • B550 AORUS ELITE
  • B550 AORUS PRO AC
  • B550I AORUS PRO AX
  • B550 AORUS PRO
  • B550M AORUS PRO
  • B550 GAMING X
  • B550M GAMING
  • B550M DS3H AC
  • B550M DS3H
  • B550M H
  • B550M S2H

Of the 12 models registered by name, we see that there is a model that, in all probability, will have the ITX mini form factor (the GIGABYTE B550I AORUS PRO AX) and 5 others that will follow the form factor micro ATX (all starting with B550M). In fact, these last models are those that do not belong to the AORUS range of this motherboard manufacturer (except one of the models), so it is easy to deduce that they will be more basic and cheap models for users.

GIGABYTE has also registered 4 new models for Intel Comet Lake-S

Following the list of motherboard models that GIGABYTE has registered with the ECC, there are 4 models of motherboards that will belong to the new processor Intel Comet Lake-S. These boards will mount the next high-end chipset Intel Z490, which is with which these new processors will reach the market.

The Models What they have presented are:

  • Z490 UD AC
  • Z490 VISION G
  • Z490 VISION D
  • W480 VISION D

These 4 new models, join the other 11 models that the Taiwanese manufacturer had previously submitted.

Obviously, all the names that are registered with the ECC do not have to end up becoming real models They end up selling in the market. However, the manufacturer prefers to heal in health by registering the name now rather than having to pay again in the future to register only one model.
