The Boring Company was founded to solve the street problems in Los Angeles. Sports fans will be the first to benefit from the tunnels built by the company.
The company has just announced that it wants to build a connection between the metro and Dodger Stadium. Thanks to this, the travel time on the match day will be significantly shortened and the city will be slightly unplugged. Travel time between these two locations is expected to be only 4 minutes. Passengers will travel in specially designed capsules, which are modeled on the Tesla Model X. They will reach speeds of 200 to 241 km / h and will accommodate 8 to 16 passengers. The Boring Company claims that the total tunnel capacity is up to 1,400 people per event, which is 2.5% of the stadium’s capacity. In the future, capacity could be increased to 2,800 people per game, and around 250,000 people are expected to travel through the tunnel annually.
Currently, the company is planning a meeting with people interested in the project and wants to obtain information from them, what they would expect after such a merger. It is also working with the city office to determine the environmental impact.
