LiFiMAX Tab is the first Android tablet with Li-Fi

Oledcomm presented at CES 2022 the first Android tablet with Li-Fi, a special type of communication that uses light, not radio communication for data transmission.

Oledcomm has unveiled the world’s first Android tablet with Li-Fi

Li-Fi (Light Fidelity) connectivity is not new. It was developed in the early 10’s of this century, but has never made it much mainstream, although it has its merits. First of all, the fact that betting on Li-Fi and not Wi-Fi makes connectivity less problematic in areas sensitive to electromagnetic signals. Although both technologies use electromagnetic radiation, Li-Fi is not based on radio waves, but on visible light. All this is done by modulating light signals, which, however, is not visible to humans.

The tablet allows all family members to connect to the Internet using invisible light, providing a solid, stable, radio frequency-free connection with a signal that cannot be intercepted outside the room. LiFiMAX Tab is perfect for use in the home office, for parents and children at home or at school.

Li-Fi was used in the LiFiMAX Tab project, i.e. an Android tablet powered by Mediatek MTK6762 and 4 GB of RAM. It is protected by a silicone casing, which has a photon antenna in it, enabling a transfer rate of 150 Mb / s with the support of AES 128-bit encryption. To use it, of course, you need to install Li-Fi transmitters in your homes, which Oledcomm also produces.

LiFiMAX Tab supplies an 8000-mAh battery, which also has a 6000 mAh companion cell responsible for powering the integrated Li-Fi module. This tablet is expected to go on sale in February for 400 euros.
