The new MediaTek chip with the number MT6779 has just appeared in the GeekBench database. it is most likely a Helio X40 processor. He obtained a result for one core equal to 2025 points and for many cores – 6831 points. This is 35% and 26.5% more than the result obtained by the Helio P60. According to some analysts, the processor has Cortex A73 or A76 cores.
I wonder if the company will conquer the market with this processor, or whether it will remain just a curiosity present in a small number of smartphones. In fact, more interesting is the 5G chip, which is due to be released in mid-2019. It is he who can break the company on the market.
