MSI RTX 3090 Ti goes on sale for $5,500, prices have no ceiling

GPU prices continue to rise, and if that wasn’t enough, Nvidia plans to launch an ultra-exclusive RTX 3090 Ti, which will be available in a few countries in very limited quantities, and of course at an exorbitant price. The Rakuten Japan listing warns that the outlook may be even worse than we thought, putting the RTX 3090 Ti at an equivalent of $5,500, which is truly insane.

The model in question is the MSI RTX 3090 Ti Suprim X 24G model, whose specifications had been leaked a few weeks ago. This card will have an EXTREME mode that raises its clock to 1900MHz, GDDR6X memory at 21Gbps, and an impressive 480W TDP, which can be increased even more by overclocking, a real madness.

A store in Vietnam also listed the GALAX RTX 3090 Ti EX GAMER EDITION for the equivalent of $3,850, although this company’s top model, the RTX 3090 TI HOF EXTREME, could exceed $6,000 according to WCCFTech. Everything indicates that manufacturers will not stop up to $10,000, so get ready for what’s to come and forget about being able to buy the top-of-the-range card for a few years.

It’s still a mystery when the RTX 3090 Ti will launch, as during CES 2022 Nvidia said it would give more details during January, but it’s February and we haven’t heard another word about said GPU yet, and neither the manufacturers of graphics cards have an estimated date yet. Apparently it would have been delayed due to problems in its production, although the leakers do not finish agreeing on exactly what the problem is.
