The new series of curved gaming monitors Samsung T55 will consist of three models, at least initially. These models will be the C24T55, the C27T55 and the C32T55, with screen diagonals of 24, 27 and 32 inches respectively. All these screens will use VA type matrices, which will ensure us contrast levels much higher than those found with other types of matrices, such as TN or IPS. In fact, Samsung declares a static contrast of 3000: 1 for that new series of its monitors.
Continuing with the matrix used by these new Samsung monitors, it has a response time of 4 ms GtG and a rate of soda 75 Hz vertical, being compatible with technologies Adaptive Sync Y AMD FreeSync. You already know that these technologies serve to eliminate the tearing of the images on the monitor screen, when the FPS rate represented by the graphics card is very different from the vertical refresh rate (in Hz) of the monitor. The resolution of all these new monitors of the T55 series will be Full HD, regardless of the size of the screen they use.
This matrix has a color range which covers 80.6% of the 1976 NTSC spectrum, 88% of the DCI spectrum, 119.3% of the sRGB spectrum and 88.4% of the Adobe RGB spectrum.
Curved gaming monitors with 1000R radio are much more immersive
What all the people pursue curved gaming monitors is to make the user's gaming experience as immersive as possible. As a rule, the smaller the Radius of curvature, greater immersion sensation can be achieved with the gaming monitor. Typically, these models usually have a radius of curvature of 1700R or 1800R. However, Samsung T55 series gaming monitors have a 1000R radio. With this, the manufacturer intends to limit the maximum field of view of the user, so that the gaming experience is the most immersive for him. In fact, they will be the first gaming monitors that will use this narrow radius of curvature.
The video inputs of these new curved gaming monitors of the T55 series are formed, for all three models, by a D-Sub15 (or VGA) connector, an HDMI 1.4 and a DisplayPort 1.2. Likewise, all monitors will have a 3.5 mm mini jack connector to which we can connect our headphones. However, both the 27-inch and the 32-inch model will use, in turn, an audio input connector, since these two models will have speakers built into the monitor body.
Refering to ergonomics of use, the only thing that we will find in this new T55 series is the possibility of tilting the screen between 3º towards the front, or up to 20º backwards.
