New NVIDIA laptops with GTX 1080

NVIDIA rocked Computex 2017 with new Max-Q gaming laptops. They’re as thin as the MacBook Air models, but offer graphics performance for hardcore gamers. This is a new design approach that Nvidia partners are adopting next year that will make gaming laptops thinner, faster, and quieter.

The first notebooks with the new architecture will arrive on June 27th, according to NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang. Max-Q is a term that was borrowed from NASA’s space program. It represents the point at which the aerodynamic loads on the rocket in atmospheric flight are maximized. The new technology promises gaming laptops about 18mm thick, like the MacBook Air, while maintaining high-end specs.

GTX Series 10 GPUs are included in the system built to tech. FinFET process 16 to us with GDDR5X and GDDR5 memory. NVIDIA is also debuting WhisperMode technology, designed to make gaming laptops quieter while gaming by lowering frame rates as well as graphics settings for optimal power consumption. Max-Q laptops will come with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080, 1070 and 1060, and will be produced by the company’s hardware partners like Acer, ASUS, HP, Lenovo, MSI and others.

ASUS ROG Zephyrus Gaming Laptop

The demo laptop was unveiled at Computex 2017, developed by ASUS and dubbed the ROG Zephyrus. He launched Project Cars 2 at 12,000 pixels, able to simulate 180 cars and 60 tracks. The ASUS Gaming Laptop on display is 60% faster than the PS4 Pro. It remains only to find out how much the Max-Q cars will cost.
