It looks like Nvidia is planning to unveil its next generation of graphics cards this summer.

Videocardz noted that Nvidia is planning a session to discuss the future of its graphics cards at the Hot Chips conference on August 20th. The schedule indicates that NVIDIA’s VP of ASIC Engineering, Stuart Oberman, will be showcasing the company’s next-generation GPU technology at an event in Cupertino, California.

Given the main wave of news, the main part of the talk will undoubtedly be GeForce graphics cards and possibly additional information about the Turing family. Ampere and Volta will probably not be discussed as they target the commercial market and research segment.

Typically, Hot Chips companies dive into the bowels of the latest microarchitectures, so we expect Nvidia to showcase the product, however how much Nvidia will show is still unknown.
