NVIDIA, an invitation to purchase program to put the RTX 4090 FE in the hands of gamers

NVIDIA, an invitation to purchase program to put the RTX 4090 FE in the hands of gamers

NVIDIA is testing a program called “Verified Priority Access“(Verified Priority Access) for the purchase of new generation video cards, starting with the RTX 4090 Founders Edition. The goal is to give gamers and content creators the opportunity to purchase a new card without having to wait for it to appear in stock in hopes of anticipating scalper bots.

Paradoxically, the new purchasing program is reminiscent of EVGA Priority Access, through which NVIDIA’s “former partner” gave verified exclusive members early access to a queue system through which they could block the purchase of a new GPU.

Currently the NVIDIA program linked to the RTX 4090 Founders Edition only and in selected countries including Italy. “We know that it is often difficult to purchase a new product near the launch date for several reasons. Today we are testing a program we call Priority Verified Access that give a limited number of GeForce gamers and creators the opportunity to purchase a GeForce RTX 4090 Founders Edition video card“, writes NVIDIA on its forum.

Invited users will receive an in-app notification on GeForce Experience which will generate a unique URL. This URL will link invitees to a partner with Founders Edition cards in selected regions. Currently, verified priority access tests include: Best Buy (US), Scan (UK), NBB (Germany and the Netherlands), and LDLC (France, Italy and Spain)“.

NVIDIA has not disclosed how many invitations will be sent or how the algorithm that selects players and creators works. In short, it looks like a lottery. We are trying to understand more, if we have updates we will inform you.
