Although NVIDIA withdrew from its intention to buy ARM after many disputes and allegations, the company still has many plans for the would-be investment technology. It is certain that NVIDIA and ARM architecture will go hand in hand in the future, as emphasized by the words of Jensen Huang, the company’s current president.
There is a reason the architectures developed by Arm are so popular on the market – they are simply great, especially in terms of the ratio of efficiency to energy used. That’s why NVIDIA still has great plans to build a complete portfolio of Arm-based processors for a wide variety of applications – from data center to robotics. Interestingly, the first processor based on it is to debut in the first half of 2023 and will only be the beginning.
NVIDIA has a 20-year license for the Arm architecture, so it will use it to develop processors for a wide range of applications – from tiny SoCs for robots to high-end processors for supercomputers. In NVIDIA’s vision, the Arm architecture can be the foundation for any type of platform.

However, this does not mean that NVIDIA will abandon the x86 architecture. Systems based on the Arm architecture will only complement it, and given its lower energy consumption, we can be sure of its purpose.
