NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4000: Coming no earlier than 1 year from now – There is waiting for the next generation of NVIDIA video cards from the GeForce RTX family, which will take the place of the GeForce RTX 3000 range currently on the market; from the latest rumors that have appeared online, it will still be necessary to wait a long time, as the launch of these new solutions should take place around the middle of next year.

These timing, if all goes well, will correspond to the entry into full production of this GPU during the middle of 2022 with a commercial launch which should take place no earlier than the third quarter of next year.

These timelines shouldn’t come as a surprise in light of the recent history of NVIDIA, which with the latest GPU families has in fact always operated with one two years between the debut of a new architecture and that of the next generation. Thinking that the Turing cards of the GeForce RTX 3000 family were introduced in September 2020, about 24 months after the launch of the previous generation GeForce RTX 2000 proposals, it is easy to deduce that the Ada Lovelace cards will be made available in no less than 12 months from today .

GeForce RTX 4000 cards will compete directly with the next generation of AMD cards from the Radeon family, belonging to the 7000 range and based on architecture Navi 3. For these new GPUs, the use of 5-nanometer production technology is foreseen, with construction by the Taiwanese TSMC in place of the Samsung 8-nanometer process adopted by the GeForce RTX 3000 family GPUs currently available on the market.
