Nvidia officially discontinued the GTX 600 and GTX 700 “Kepler” with their latest drivers

With the release of its new Game Ready 496.13 drivers, Nvidia officially discontinued all Kepler-based graphics, so users of the GTX 600 series and virtually the entire GTX 700 series will no longer receive driver updates.

The only exception to this rule will be eventual patches that fix a critical vulnerability should one be detected, although no more feature updates or zero-day optimizations will be received for new games as Nvidia will focus its efforts on older generations. modern.

Thus, the latest driver with support for Kepler graphics is the GeForce Game Ready 472.12 WHQL driver. The complete list of graphs that are no longer supported is as follows:

  • TITAN: GeForce GTX TITAN, GeForce GTX TITAN Black, GeForce GTX TITAN Z
  • GeForce GTX 700: GeForce GTX 780 Ti, GeForce GTX 780, GeForce GTX 770, GeForce GTX 760, GeForce GTX 760 Ti (OEM), GeForce GT 740, GeForce GT 730, GeForce GT 720, GeForce GT 710
  • GeForce GTX 600: GeForce GTX 690, GeForce GTX 680, GeForce GTX 670, GeForce GTX 660 Ti, GeForce GTX 660, GeForce GTX 650 Ti BOOST, GeForce GTX 650 Ti, GeForce GTX 650, GeForce GTX 645, GeForce GT 640, GeForce GT 635, GeForce GT 630

As we can see, the GTX 750 and GTX 750 Ti do not appear on this list since they are based on Maxwell. In this way, those who still use one of these charts can continue to receive updates for an additional time.

Do you still use a Kepler-based Nvidia graphics? If so, it’s time to update.
