Nvidia Titan RTX: Release Date, News & Features!

Everything we know about the new Titan graphics.

The Nvidia Turing is a series of graphics cards that have dominated the news for a while with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti and RTX 2080 playing at the top of the market. However, Nvidia recently announced the Nvidia Titan RTX, a high-end graphics card designed for multimedia professionals.

The Nvidia Titan series of graphics cards has always been aimed at high-end users, while the GeForce is aimed at gamers. This means that the price will be significantly higher – especially with the Titan RTX – but also the performance is higher than necessary in 3D games.

We’d advise against saving money to buy this graphics card in a gaming build, but if you specialize in video creation or 3D modeling, you’ll want to bookmark this page. We’re going to go over all the details we know about the Nvidia Titan RTX, we’ll update this article with any information that comes along.

In pursuit!

  • What is it? The next Nvidia Titan graphics card
  • When to expect? Unknown, but probably by the end of the year;

| NVIDIA TITAN RTX: RELEASE DATE

We do not have an exact release date for the Nvidia Titan RTX, but it was officially announced, which means that on the Nvidia website opposite the video card there is a big green “NOTIFY ME” button. And we have pretty good hunches about the next release of a new graphics card, although we’re not sure. Until now, these have been speculations.

However, Nvidia Titan releases usually take place a couple of months after the new architecture is shown, which means the Titan RTX release could take place at any time. Don’t worry, we’ll update this page as soon as we get accurate information on the Nvidia Titan RTX.

| NVIDIA TITAN RTX: PRICES

Brace yourself, because the price of the graphics card can knock you out of your rut: the Nvidia Titan RTX will set you back $ 2,499. And that’s more than double the price of the already expensive GeForce RTX 2080 Ti.

Keep in mind that this graphics card is intended for the professional market, but it costs more than the latest consumer Titan graphics card, the Nvidia Titan X Pascal, which was priced at $ 1299.

However, the Titan V, the graphics card likely to be replaced by the Titan RTX, retails for $ 2,999. This card is slightly more powerful, but has less video memory (VRAM) compared to the Titan RTX.

| NVIDIA TITAN RTX: SPECIFICATIONS

Not surprisingly, the Nvidia Titan RTX looks extremely powerful on paper. With 24GB of video memory and 4608 CUDA cores, you get tons of GPUs for the money. Compared to its predecessor, the Nvidia Titan X Pascal, which offered 12GB of VRAM and 3,840 CUDA cores, the performance gain promises to be exponential.

However, the Titan RTX is a Turing architecture graphics card, which means Tensor Cores for AI operations and deep learning, while RT cores are plugged in for real-time ray tracing. And, as you’d expect from a graphics card that costs almost double the price, the Nvidia Titan RTX easily dunk the RTX 2080 Ti in water. With 576 Tensor cores and 27 RT cores versus 544/68 cores in the 2080 Ti, respectively, users can expect significant performance improvements.

Specifically, Nvidia claims the Titan RTX will be able to offer 11 GigaRays per second and 130 teraflops, along with deep learning. Then the Nvidia Titan RTX should be especially useful for scientists and animators.

The Nvidia Titan RTX is also compatible with NVLink, the next generation SLI version. Unlike other configurations with multiple graphics cards, the video memory will be combined using NVLink, which means that the two Titan RTX graphics cards will be able to offer 48 GB of video memory at a speed of 100 GB / s.

So, the Nvidia Titan RTX promises to be an extremely powerful graphics card – as long as you can afford the astronomical price tag.

That’s all we know about the Nvidia Titan RTX at the moment, but you can rest assured that this page will be updated as soon as we get more information, especially on the performance readings.
