Nvidia’s “Super” RTX Graphics Cards May Release in July!

We could get up to five new graphics cards.

AMD Navi has grabbed all the headlines recently, but it looks like the news boom is coming to an end. It is known that Nvidia Super graphics cards can be announced as early as July 21st.

This information comes from an unverified leak from WccfTech, so we recommend not forgetting a healthy skepticism. However, this leak describes five “Super” graphics cards within the Nvidia RTX range.

This means that Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060, RTX 2070, RTX 2070 Ti (which doesn’t exist yet), RTX 2080 and even RTX 2080 Ti are rumored to receive more powerful versions. “Super” iterations of existing graphics cards are likely to offer more RAM overclocking.

For example, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Super is likely to get an all-new GPU that is “not a repurposed part of the Quadro,” according to WccfTech. The graphics card will also be fully unlocked, so graphics add-ons (AIBs) – third-party graphics cards that use AMD or Nvidia GPUs – can actually increase power consumption.

As for the non-flagship members of the RTX series, they will all get better GPUs, and the “Super” variants will cost the same as their non-Super variants, while the existing graphics cards will drop in price. For example, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super will have an “unlocked” but not OC variant of the RTX 2080 GPU.

The graphics card wars begin again!

The new rumor follows AMD’s Navi announcement: the Radeon RX 5700 XT and RX 5700, aimed at competing with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 and 2060 respectively. This alone makes the rumor a little suspicious. Our first guess was the release of graphics cards at E3 2019 to really spoil AMD’s celebration.

That didn’t happen, but assuming the rumor is accurate, this is not good news for AMD. If the Nvidia RTX Super comes out with an RTX 2080 GPU, resulting in lower prices for the RTX 2070 to compete with the $ 449 Radeon RX 5700 XT (R29,000 + VAT), Team Red will have much less room to breathe.

This is especially true of the AMD Radeon RX 5700, which comes with a $ 379 (RUR 26,500 + VAT) price tag, which is already more expensive than the entry-level RTX 2060.
