The recently disclosed patent shows that Oppo is working on a new technology for zoom. The company can even create a 10x hybrid optical zoom.
At the moment, the development of technology has reached a very advanced stage, and the zoom may appear on future Oppo flagships, including the F19 model. The insider stated that the company will present the technical details as soon as possible. It will probably happen during CES in January or MWC in February. The company also reportedly focuses mainly on this technology and many research centers are working on its development.
It is worth reminding here that a 5-fold zoom from this company made its debut during MWC 2017. So it would make sense to have a successor premiere at a similar fair, two years later. We’ll see soon if this really happens.
