PlayerUnkown’s Battlegrounds will make a decisive move for your future next 12th of January, and this goes through adopting the ‘free-to-play’ model, that is, it will cost 29.99 euros to be free, so it follows in the footsteps of other games such as Valorant, or saving the distance, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, where the benefits are achieved within the game with cosmetics instead of with the sale of the title, which has proven to be much more profitable over time.

Those who will pay for the game, will have the ‘PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Plus‘, which includes Ranking mode, allows you to create and play custom games or add experience boost. This will be sold separately at a price of 12.99 euros once the game becomes free.

You heard right, no more speculation or rumors are needed, we have reached the next evolution of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds with the transition to a free to play model. We dropped the bomb at the Game Awards and if you weren’t aware, you know what the news is.

The switch to F2P will come with many changes and many rewards. If you are a lifelong PUBG player, we want to take care of you as a way of thanking you for your dedication and support.

All players who owned and played PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS prior to the transition to the free-to-play service will automatically receive the PUBG – SPECIAL COMMEMORATIVE PACK, which includes a free update to BATTLEGROUNDS Plus and additional in-game rewards.
