Blizzard revealed that one of his latest releases, the Diablo II: Resurrectedhas managed to overcome the 5 million copies sold six months after its launch, something that is not bad at all for what has been a facelift of the original game that was released with server problems.

Good work seems to have paid off, as the company that has been co-developing Diablo II: Resurrected, Vicarious Visions, was taken over by Blizzard earlier this month, and is now renamed Blizzard Albany. The study is now expected to provide “long term support” in Blizzard games exclusively.

Obviously, Blizzard Entertainment, as part of Activision Blizzard, is currently in the process of being acquired by Microsoft. The deal, which is scheduled to close sometime before June 2023, is valued at nearly $69 billion.

  • Remastered graphics: the monsters, the heroes, the items, the spells… Everything has been resurrected.
  • An epic story told over five different acts.
  • Classic Mechanics: The same Diablo II you know and love, preserved.
  • Improved compatibility with Battle.net.
  • In the future we will add cross-progression so you can take your progress with you wherever you go.
  • And much more!

Diablo II: Resurrected includes all the content from Diablo II and its fantastic expansion Diablo II: Lord of Destruction. Battle your way through icy caverns, ghastly tombs filled with monstrous undead, and icy wastelands to the top of Mount Arreat to stop Baal, Lord of Destruction. Give Hell a taste of its own medicine with two new Lord of Destruction classes: the cunning assassin, a master of traps and shadow disciplines, and the savage druid, a fearless summoner and shapeshifter who masters primal elemental magic.
