Recently, it has been in the hands of Ukraine, among others, an air defense command vehicle in the form of the Barnaul-T 9S932-1, which has been used by Russia for over ten years. This is not only a blow to the army itself, but also technology, because this type of takeover of Russia’s advanced and modern equipment opens the door to getting to know their secrets and possibilities, and thus to protect themselves against them.

In practice, the entire Barnaul-T 9S932-1 system combines various elements of the Russian short-range air defense system (SHORAD). Mobility and the possibility of using it in ground troops during an offensive are one of its most important advantages. In addition, this air defense management system is highly automated and can work with many types of equipment – from the Arrow-10 kits to the 9K33-OSA systems.
