RX 5700 vs RTX 2060: Which is Best? – Performance in comparison- The RTX 2060 and The RX 5700 it is the video cards that compete in price range ranging from 300 euros up to 400 euros, a price range for users who want to be able to play any title without performance issues.
Both video cards have their strengths and weaknesses that we will explain in detail in the article, trying to help you decide which of the two is the one that best suits your needs.
RX 5700 vs RTX 2060: Technical data sheets and features compared
Let’s start by comparing the data sheets of the two GPUs, already reading them you can notice the differences that we will deepen in more detail during the article.

RX vs RTX: Features and Contrast
Already reading the table you will have noticed substantial differences between the two GPUs: the RX 5700 is based on the Navi 10 architecture while the RTX 2060 on the Turing e features RT core units and Tensor cores.
What does this mean in practice? It means that the RTX 2060 supporta il Real Time Ray Tracing (RTX) e il Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS), two technologies with different but equally interesting purposes, which should become increasingly popular in the coming years.
If you want to know more about Ray Tracing and DLSS below we talk about it in more detail, otherwise you can go directly to the section dedicated to benchmarks.
Ray Tracing is a technology that improves the quality of lights and shadows, permitting to always have a high level of lighting. It goes without saying that this significantly increases the quality of the image, giving us a more satisfying graphic rendering.
Unfortunately, even though the technology has been around for a while, the weight in terms of frame rates is still very high, even for high-end GPUs it is difficult to manage Ray Tracing in its current state, what we hope is that within a few years this weight will be significantly reduced.
On a positive note, many of the major titles coming out in the future, such as Cyberpunk 2077, will support Ray Tracing, which suggests that NVIDIA is working with developers to improve this technology.
The DLSS instead it has a very different purpose than Ray Tracing, explaining it in a simple way, this technology allows you to significantly improve the frame rate when our GPU is used to the maximum, all this without worsening the image quality (if you are interested in learning more we leave you an article by NVIDIA).
Using resolutions superiori al full hd, come for example the 4K, the effects sul frame rate of this technology begin to become significant, with increases of even 20-30% or even 40%.
Even in this case, however, it is not all roses and flowers, DLSS is a very promising technology but for now it has shown the side to several criticisms in the games in which it was inserted, the video below shows you why, as for Ray Tracing however NVIDIA is working to resolve the issues.
