SilentiumPC Fortis 5 Dual in the test – Underdog stirs up the middle class
We have already tested several coolers from the Polish manufacturer SilentiumPC and so far they have all been convincing in terms of price / performance. The company motto, which can be casually summarized as “No advertising, no bullsh * t, good & cheap products”, is actually reflected in reality. So I was all the more excited about this new cooler, which I said I was particularly proud of. So we go straight to the test report and check carefully whether this feeling is justified.
Here are the previous articles about the coolers of this manufacturer:

Packaging and scope of delivery
The box of the cooler is designed in the usual white-black-blue design of this manufacturer. The obligatory large picture of the contained product is on the front, while further information and technical specifications are listed on the side and on the back.
In the accessories we find the necessary frames and brackets for the assembly. In addition, clips for the two fans and a tube of “Pactum PT-3” thermal paste. Incidentally, the small wrench has no function and was not listed in the overview of the scope of delivery. So apparently it is included, although it was not planned that way.
Well, better have more parts than too few, right?
Assembly and installation
Just like with the other coolers from SilentiumPC, the backplate of the mainboard is used for the AM4 socket, four plastic spacers are placed on the holes and then the silver mounting frame is mounted with screws. With two spring-loaded screws directly on the cooler, it is then fixed to the frame.
If the illustrated instructions are too dry for you, they can also be shown in video form:
Instructions and videos for current Intel sockets are of course also available. With regard to the LGA1700 socket, problems can occur with some mainboards, the manufacturer informs about this in this article.
