Solar roof shingles are ready. You can nail them to the roof

When faced with the choice of roof finishing material, you can choose from many options. Roof tiles, metal sheets, or just shingles. Nowadays, it is difficult not to combine the choice with solar panels, which is why there is so much potential in Tesla’s solar roof tiles and, apparently, also in the latest work of GAF Energy, which has developed solar roof shingles.

We don’t know much about Energy Shingles, because that’s what these roof shingles are officially called. Developed by the largest roofing and waterproofing company in North America, this alternative to traditional roof finishing is designed to integrate both a durable and effective weather shield and the ability to draw energy directly from nature. Unfortunately, the availability and prices of this strictly American product are not known at the moment.

According to an announcement by GAF Energy, Energy Shingles is the only such product to integrate solar technology into existing roofing processes and materials, resulting in a fully fledged solar roof. All components of the solar shingle are coaxial and the electronic components are at the front, not the rear, making them easily accessible for servicing. Their assembly is also easy, thanks to the possibility of nailing them to the roof.
