Introduction

Hi all!

We come back to these gentlemen (and ladies!) From be quiet! today with the brand’s latest case, the Dark Base 700! This model is placed just below the “flagship” that is the Dark Base Pro 900 (tested here) while remaining high-end oriented. The program includes aluminum, tempered glass and also RGB lighting that will delight fans.
The be quiet! Dark Base 700 is offered at a recommended price of 189 € which does not make it suitable for high-end configurations, let’s see if this price is justified!

Characteristics

As we can see here we are dealing with a good big baby, very close to what we can see on the Dark Base 900 (tested here). Indeed here with dimensions of 54.4 cm in length for 51.9 cm in height and 24.1 cm in width for 13.25 kg you should not expect something that will easily go unnoticed. That said with this weight it announces a good dose of materials and therefore a solidity which should be there!
In addition to this, there are 2 original Silent Wings 3 fans (the brand’s top of the range) 14 cm rotating at a maximum speed of 1600 RPM, other locations are of course available. In all it is possible to place no less than 8 fans, 3 front, 3 above, 1 behind and 1 below at the power supply level to bring fresh air directly to the graphics card.

Of course the internal components and modularity are not forgotten! 7 3.5 ″ or 17 (!) 2.5 ″ peripherals, a graphics card that can go up to 43 cm, a power supply with a length of 28.5 cm and so on. It is clear that the brand has done its utmost to offer great flexibility. We should not forget the RGB Gentlemen and Ladies! Indeed the brand has installed 2 edging on the sides of the front panel illuminating in the color you want, RGB fans will appreciate without any doubt.

Unpacking and bundle

We do not change a team that wins at the box level. Sobriety is required as usual with on the front a photo of the beast in profile with the name of the model, the logo of the brand and a small listing of the strong points such as the Silent Wings fans, a ventilation control etc. At the back a presentation of the main functionalities, in 4 different languages.

On the edge a large table of technical characteristics is present, at least we will not be caught unpacking and the buyer will know what is going on before the purchase.

We find the Dark Base 700 in its bag and caught between 2 thick polystyrene molds, transport will not be a problem unless a truck rolls over it 😉

The bundle here is less impressive than what we find on the Dark Base Pro 900 of course but has everything you need to screw the different components. Scratches are also present for the cable management and a disc cage to be installed horizontally is also there if what is already in the box is not sufficient.
