Hi all!

After a rather convincing AIO H75 watercooling kit (see the test here) Corsair sent me the very last of the Hydro series, the H110i GT! Model equipped with a 280 mm radiator and Corsair Link (allowing monitoring and customization of ventilation via the software of the same name under Windows) it is designed for “extreme” performance thanks to its pump and 2 14 cm fans turning at a maximum speed of 2100 RPM, which means that silence may not be part of the game, let’s see all this right away!

The box is like other Corsair products, namely rather class and sober, we are entitled to the logo of the brand, to the model, a mention of the 2 fans 14cm, a 5-year warranty. A nice little mistake went through the cracks, “liquid CPU cooler H105 280 MM HYPER PERFORMING ”, this is obviously not an H105 😀

At the back we have a small presentation of the fans, 14cm and PWM, improved pump and waterblock etc.
The technical characteristics of the machine are also available, dimensions, fan speed, air flow, noise. On the other hand a graph is also available comparing the cooling of a Core i7 3970X @ 4Ghz between the H110i GT and … the original Intel cooling .. it goes without saying that the cooling system from Corsair wins, why not not to have compared it to a good big cooler such as the Noctua NH-D15 for example? 😉

On the side we can see the compatibility of sockets ranging from LGA 1150 to 2011 (via 1366) at Intel and AM2, AM3, FM1 and FM2 at AMD. You will also need to have a USB 2.0 connector available on the motherboard to be able to use the Corsair Link software.

Once the box is open, we find the manuals placed on a sheet of foam protecting the beast, next!

Under this foam the beast is very well packed, each part is in its plastic.

The bundle consists of:

  • 1 x H110i GT
  • 1 x kit de fixation AMD / Intel
  • 1 x USB cable connecting the waterblock to a USB 2.0 connector on the motherboard
  • 2 x ventilateurs SP140L PWM
  • The necessary screws

As you can see the bundle is complete, no frills though, there will be everything you need to mount the Corsair H110i GT in the tower.

Here is the beast! We can finally see a little change in the face of other Watercooling kits that have been circulating for years, Corsair has customized everything a little with a gray metal band with the logo of the brand, which does not fail to be rather classy . The pipes have also had a little treatment by being fitted with a braid which makes it very nice. The workmanship at all is really very good and the impression of quality is there, let’s take a closer look.

As I said, we can clearly see the Corsair logo on one side, not too flashy and rather classy.

The radiator is all aluminum, so very light but the finish is very good. No need to linger more than that here, a radiator as there are tons 😉

The pipes which are located as usual at one end of the radiator are covered with a smooth braid for the most beautiful effect, this changes bare pipes. The build quality is once again very good, nothing to complain about.

The waterblock, which also accommodates the pump is also very well finished, the Corsair logo will light up when plugged in and it will be possible to change this color at will. On the left is the USB connector allowing the use of the Corsair Link software.

Below we see that Corsair has already pre-applied thermal paste, the plate is copper but no mirror finish here.

Here is the Corsair H110i GT connection, 1 Sata connector to power everything, the 3-pin connector in the middle is only there to monitor the fans and it will have to be plugged into the motherboard, on the right the 2 connectors 4 -pin PWM will be used to connect the 2 fans supplied.

Here are the 2 fans, SP140L PWM running at a maximum speed of 2100 RPM, the build quality is quite good even on the plastics used are not really of an irreproachable quality. We are clearly not in the presence of high-end fans like Noctuas or be quiet! for example.
