The first version of AGESA under Windows 11 for B550 and B450 motherboards

MSI turned out to be the first motherboard manufacturer, thanks to which the latest version of the AGESA microcode for Windows 11 has already been available for download. I am talking about the AGESA 1.2.0.4 version for boards with the B550 and B450 chipsets.

MSI was the first to release the AGESA microcode under Windows 11

Latest firmware BIOS AMD COMBOAM4v2PI 1.2.0.4 is now available for download for seven motherboards. The newer B550 are models: Unify, Unify-X, Tomahawk, Mortar WiFi, Mortar, and the B450 is Tomahawk Max and Tomahawk Max II. Is it worth taking an interest in them if you have these albums mainly? The manufacturer himself answers this question.

It is not without reason that in the title we mentioned that this is a special AGESA under Windows 11, because even MSI states that the most important change in this microcode is setting the fTPM option to on by default, which solves the problem of Windows 11 compatibility in terms of TPM. This can of course also be done manually.

Additionally, AGESA 1.2.0.4 updates firmware for AMD Ryzen 5000, Ryzen 5000G and Ryzen 3000G processors. MSI emphasizes that the rest of the company’s motherboards will also see this update in the coming weeks.
