The Radeon RX 6950XT appears in an Australian store almost as expensive as the RTX 3090Ti

After AMD delayed its launch along with other models of the brand, the Radeon RX 6950XT GPU has appeared in a list of stores in Oceania for a price similar to that of NVIDIA’s top of the range, the GeForce RTX 3090Ti.

Information filtered initially by leaker @momomo_us shows AMD’s new high-end graphics card, a Gigabyte Gaming model, priced at AUD3,241 (Australian dollars), roughly $2,400, at Australian retailer MegaBuy.

The RTX 3090Ti, meanwhile, has an NVIDIA MSRP of $1,999, but can exceed this depending on the associated brand and model. In MegaBuy itself, there are models for sale for AUD 3,298, for example, which shows a similar price range between the high end of both brands.

Although it has already been widely reported, AMD has not officially confirmed that it will release the upgraded RX 6000 card with 18Gbps memory. The Radeon RX 6950XT, likely the brand’s next high-end, is expected to break the 2,500 MHz memory clock with boost enabled.

This may vary depending on what brands associated with AMD decide to explore in the new models, balancing clock specs and power consumption.

AMD has pushed back the release date from April 20 to May 10. There is a possibility that there will be an official announcement or confirmation from AMD before then. Until now, AMD has not confirmed that it will release a revamped RX 6000 card with 18Gbps memory. But we will keep you informed about any information that may arise.

What do you think about the price of the Radeon RX 6950XT? Quite high, isn’t it?
