During a routine flight, the F-35C crashed on January 24 this year while landing aboard the USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier. Fortunately, the pilot managed to catapult, but the fighter itself fell into the waters of the South China Sea after serious damage. According to the latest information, the US Navy has established cooperation with a private company and has caught the wreckage of the F-35C Lightning II from the South China Sea. This was done using the DP2 DSCV rescue ship from Ultra Deep Subsea, but above all the 2.5-ton CURV 21 underwater drone, which was responsible for attaching the rope to the wreckage with which the fighter was pulled from the seabed.

Now the wreckage is mainly transported on board a rescue ship to the port and finally the plant, to be dealt with by engineers. Firstly, they will extract information about the investigation, and secondly, they will assess whether it is worth transporting this damaged F-35C back to the United States for an unknown purpose.
