This is the first such motherboard on the market. Onda H610M + combines DDR4 and DDR5 support

Alder Lake processors and probably also Raptor Lake will go down in history as the last ones that supported the DDR4 standard and the only ones that retained support for both generations of memory. One of the Chinese manufacturers decided to turn this uniqueness into an advantage by developing the Onda H610M + motherboard, which combines DDR4 and DDR5 support.

Onda H610M + motherboard supports DDR4 and DDR5

The Chinese company Onda introduced the world to the H610M + motherboard, which has a DDR4 and DDR5 memory slot and a socket for 12th generation Intel Core processors. Thanks to this, it supports DDR4-3200 and DDR5-4800 memory modules with a maximum capacity of 32 GB and most likely (which goes without saying), does not allow both modules to work simultaneously. This means that this motherboard cannot handle a DDR configuration under Dual-Channel, which directly impacts performance.

Although we do not know the price, it should not be too high, even for the uniqueness of the model, which may actually be a disadvantage for most users. In terms of the remaining specification, Onda H610M + comes down to the microATX format, the processor is dedicated to an 8-phase power system with an additional 8-pin power connector, and one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot and one PCIe x1 for expansion are dedicated to expansion cards. For mass memory, 3 SATA III ports and one M.2 PCIe 3.0 × 4 slot are dedicated. The rear panel is also one of the poor ones, although fortunately a set of 2xUSB 2.0, 2x USB 3.0, Combo PS / 2, RJ-45 and audio plugs complete the VGA and HDMI port.
