Valve has launched a website that allows future Steam Deck owners to know what games work well with your handheld console, and of course, also see which games are not recommended to play directly due to any type of problem, such as that some functionalities are not active and the gameplay is affected by having to use the touch screen, or any game that requires the use of glasses Virtual Reality due to its limited power.

To become a verified game ‘Deck Verified‘, all games must be compatible with the most important Steam Deck features, including full controller compatibility, being able to run at a resolution of 720 in 800p, and full Proton support for Deck’s custom SteamOS.

Specifically, there will be four categories: Verified, Playable, Not Supported, and Unknown. Verified means that the games are verified by Valve and are ready to be played on the Steam Deck without any problem. Playable means that you will have to make some kind of adjustment (graphics or remap controls, etc), and that the game may not be fully compatible with the controller. Unsupported means the game is not supported on the console (obvious), and unknown means the obvious, which has not yet been tested and is unknown.

Additionally, when you visit the Steam library from the Steam Deck, there will be a new category available for you called “Great On Deck“, which will basically allow you to go straight to the verified games that you can buy for the console that meets all the requirements for fluency and playability.
