Valve is experimenting with a new store as part of Steam Labs Experiment 13

Developing huge and popular platforms like Steam isn’t easy. Therefore, Valve, instead of introducing changes according to its own whim, has launched a special Steam Labs program, under which it is experimenting with new features, looks and themes. This time the newest Steam Labs Experiment 13 crashes into the store.

Steam Labs Experiment 13 refreshed the Steam store

A year ago, Valve provided the Steam store with a range of new genres, categories and tags to navigate in the store, and this December the focus was on refreshing the visuals with fresh tools to browse, filter and delve into each category. Each of us can verify how much changes have been made and whether they are positive or negative.

If you decide to check out these potential changes for the full and generally available version of Steam, you will be sure to immediately notice the new main section for featured titles (see above). This area features new, best-selling, and discounted titles, selected with you in mind, taking into account your library, friends, and recent games you play.

In addition, Valve improved the way news and updates about specific games are displayed, personalized these recommendations more, decided to allocate a part of the store specifically for wishlists, and introduced advanced sorting and filtering.
