Through a brief statement on Twitter, CD Project RED has announced that the release of the Next-Gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S has suffered a delay.

The reasons are unknown, it is only known that Saber Interactive has been relegated from the projectrevealing that they are now in charge of finishing the project for its release, and that because they have to review all the work done so far, this will ultimately affect the release date of the free graphic update, so it is to expect its launch to take place during the third or fourth quarter of this year when it was planned to arrive in this quarter.

“We have decided to have our internal development team do the remaining work on the next-gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. We are currently evaluating the scope of work to be done and therefore have to postpone the Q2 release.” until new notice.

We will update you as soon as we can. Thanks for your understanding”.
