The Helbiz electric scooters will be used in the official races next year, which will feature groups of six riders on tracks up to 1,000 meters long, from which a total of 10 finalists will be selected for the final test. Each rider will be riding the same e-scooter that hides its giant battery and twin motors in an elegant yet massive set of body panels.

These extend over the entire surface of the vehicle and are so rounded for a reason, because they were designed specifically for higher aerodynamics, which is already important at speeds of 100 km / h. These speeds also require specific types of tires, so you can see them with only minimal tread, which minimizes rolling resistance.

The front and rear wheels are equipped with 6,000 W, or 8 HP motors, for a total of 12 kW (16 HP), which is quite impressive for an electric scooter weighing 35 kg. All because of the presence of carbon fiber and a modest, for such engines, 1.33 kWh, a battery with durability especially for 8-10 minute races.
