It often happens that we come across a picture of an item on the web that we like and want to buy. In this case, image search, which is now developed by Allegro, is a great help.

The image search function is added to the platform’s applications, both in the Android and iOS versions. It works on the basis of a machine learning algorithm, currently serving over 100 million offers in categories such as fashion, books, comics, music, toys, food, health and beauty, and some of the home and garden categories.

The operation of the function is simple, thanks to which we will be able to easily find a similar item to the one we have captured in the photo or screenshot.

We can easily identify a song heard on the radio or a plant growing in our neighborhood. Why should it be any different with a dress or a grocery that we saw on the street or in a store? The idea of ​​searching with a photo came from a situation that each of us used to be in – who has never tried for hours to find a nice T-shirt or a pair of shoes that he had previously seen somewhere on the street?
