AMD B550 motherboards on the market since mid-June?

The motherboards based on the AMD B550 chipset will arrive on the market on June 16, according to rumors collected by Wccftech. The new offer, designed to replace the current B450 range and position itself under the X570 proposals, will offer connectivity PCI Express 4.0 and it will obviously be compatible with both the current Ryzen 3000 CPUs and the future 4000 solutions.

“According to our sources,” writes Wccftech, “AMD plans to unveil the B550 motherboards on May 21 but you shouldn’t expect them in stores until June 16“. In the past few weeks, we have seen the first photo of a B550 motherboard appear online, proving that the launch is getting closer. The B550 motherboards should be positioned in a price range of approximately 70 to 150 euros, depending on the characteristics .

Recall, as reported in the past few hours, that the B450 and X470 motherboards should support future Ryzen 4000 through a simple BIOS update. The difference of these two chipsets with the more recent B550 and X570 will mainly lie in the PCI Express support, 3.0 and not 4.0, to which any aspects relating to the future offer that we still do not know could be added.

It seems however, at least according to Wccftech, that there is also another chipset called A520. If this were the case, it would be a successor to the A320 (there was no A420) and therefore would be destined for basic and very low-cost motherboards for compact computers and for the office.
